THE STORY BEHIND BW ADVICE

In 2015, after completing college, I decided to take a gap year instead of immediately pursuing university. When I eventually started studying law at a university in 2016, I quickly realised university wasn't the right fit for me. Despite growing up in a traditional African household where attending university is highly valued, my father surprisingly encouraged me to drop out. However, my mother was initially unsupportive and struggled to understand my decision.

After I decided to drop out, I experienced a great deal of emotional and physical strain. I lost my self-confidence and my drive to succeed. I found myself scouring the internet for information and support it became clear that many others have faced similar struggles. However, no platform provided guidance and inspiration for those in this difficult situation.

My journey inspired me to create BW Advice, a blog to support and motivate those who have dropped out of university or are considering it. This blog is dedicated to sharing success stories, encouraging perseverance, and offering guidance and resources to those in need. We aim to inspire others to keep going and realise that there are alternative paths to success.
